The "ASTRA" Local Laboratory of Preservation and Restoration
Founded in 1990, it works on the items belonging to the South- East Transylvanian patrimony of the museum. Its specialists are also carrying out different works for other beneficiaries, both from the country and from abroad. In 1993, they started to work at an ample project, consisting in restoring the original iconostasis, dating from the 17th century and belonging to the episcopal church from Curtea de Arges. After four years of steady work, it had been completely restored.
